When we say we've been working on this candle since we started Whiskey Boat Goods, we aren't kidding.
In a new handmade one-of-a-kind concrete and gold vessel, new wooden wicks to provide a lovely crackle and flame, and a custom scent that is not available in any of our other sizes or vessels, Comanche Moon truly is in a world of its own. The blend of mahogany, blood orange, red pepper, sage, amber, and vanilla makes this candle the most dreamy one in our collection of candles, thus far.
The coolest part about this collection? The reusable, one-of-a-kind, hand-painted vessel. That's right, after your candle has reached the end, you can simply wash the remaining wax out and use this little concrete and gold cube for a variety of fun projects. Our favorite? Planting a little succulent in them!
History Of The Name:
The popular prequel to Lonesome Dove follows Gus and Woodrow during their time as Texas Rangers.
About Our Candles:
The production is kept small — candles are poured in batches of 6-8 in Austin, TX. Each candle, from placing the all-natural wick, to wax melting and pouring, to wick-cutting and labeling, is constructed by hand with the highest standards in mind. Under optimal conditions, our 9oz gold and concrete cube will burn 50+ hours.
Benefits of Soy Wax:
Eco-friendly, renewable, and sustainable
Helps support the American farmer
Cleans up easier using soap and hot water
Longer burn time
To ensure safe and even burning, allow the wax to puddle entire length of jar before blowing out. Trim wick to ⅛" to ¼" prior to each burn. For optimal burns, place candle in an area away from drafts, vents, and fans. Just a reminder, wooden wicks are tricky! It might take a couple of attempts for a complete light.
After the Burn:
To continue our sustainability efforts, your concrete vessel can easily be cleaned out and reused. Wash and leave to dry for a few hours before using.
