History Of The Name:
Reunited with Agustus “Gus” McCrae and Woodrow Call, Jake Spoon’s breathtaking description of Montana inspires Call to gather a herd of cattle and travel the distance to begin the first cattle ranch in frontier territory. The herd arrived in Montana during the snowy winter. During the course of this move, Gus McCrae would rescue Lorena Wood from the appallingly villainous Blue Duck, slam a surly bartender’s head onto the bar of a saloon, engage in two desperate Indian battles, and die a heartbreaking and unforgettable death in Miles City, Montana. Call got his cattle ranch but lost his closest friend.
